Job Description

 

A valet parking attendant is responsible for providing a superior and exceptional experience for every client and customer that visits the establishments we service. This includes customers who choose to use the valet parking service and those who do not. Valet parking attendants must anticipate the needs of each customer and look to exceed their expectations in every interaction. Valet parking attendants must maintain a positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times. 

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Arrive early or on time for your shift

  • Welcome each customer with a smile and a warm greeting

  • Open all car doors, venue doors, hold umbrellas, and offer information, direction, and assistance to handicapped and elderly customers

  • Safely perform valet parking services and operate customer’s vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and in accordance with United's policies

  • Handle cash, valet tickets, keys, company attire, and equipment with honesty, professionalism, respect, and care, in accordance with United's policies

  • Maintain a professional appearance, language, demeanor, and behavior

  • Adhere to all of the policies, procedures, guidelines, and rules outlined in the handbook

  • Be willing to perform other related duties, as requested, such as equipment set-up and break down, and grounds clean up

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old or older

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the criteria of our insurance carrier

  • Must be able to get in and out of cars easily and move quickly

 

Skills Required:

​

  • Must demonstrate strong customer service skills

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous manner at all times

  • Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles

  • Must be able to run or stand for up to 8 hours at a time

  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather condition

Staff Focus

​

All valets must maintain excellent driving records and attend a safe driving practices training program. All members of the management staff are valet parking attendants. Valet attendants do much more than move cars. They create impressions. Make sure it's the right one. Experience drives our business. Primary Guidlines:

​

  • Clean, matching crisp uniforms with visible company logo 

  • No cell phone use while on duty

  • No smoking while on duty

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Safety and efficiency of vehicle handling

  • Risk management

  • Drug free workplace

  • Displaying honesty and integrity
